Paint Party Friday...Dreaming of Owls

Happy Weekend and Happy PPF! I am taking Juliette Crane's How to Paint an Owl 2 workshop and this is my painting from lesson one. It's called 'Dream Owl' and I find it very challenging to make the sheer layers of color but found this workshop has really helped me loosen up.

I wasn't able to quite capture the loose dreamy layered style that Juliette has perfected but I'm getting there!

This painting is the very first owl I made in Juliette's first How to Paint an Owl workshop a couple of years ago. My style has definitely become much more complex and layered. I just love owls and I seem to be seeing them everywhere lately!
