I see Mermaids in my future...

Another Mermaid page spread in the shaped journal I'm making in MermaidCircus! You'll recognize the face from a previous page I made for the same journal, I just love the face stencil from Jane Davenport, you can find it at ArtistCellar. I used pens, markers, acrylic paints and inks to color the face and create the rest of the mermaid. I'm going to do another collaged page and then I'm going to sketch a few of my own mermaids to finish out the journal. Mermaid love!

Paint Party Friday...Mermaid Obsession!

Happy Weekend and Happy PaintPartyFriday! My obsession with Mermaids continues and I have been working on my Mermaid shaped journal for the Mermaid Circus workshop all week. My lettering skills still need improvement but I am getting much better at backgrounds and creating my mermaid characters. Scroll down to see more of the Mermaid pages I posted this week!

Paint Party Friday....Mermaid Circus!

Happy Weekend and Happy Paint Party Friday! To keep my muse from disappearing again, I have switched gears to something completely different. These are pics of my Teesha Moore style mermaid collage journal page for the Mermaid Circus Workshop hosted by Teesha and Jane Davenport, two of my favorite artists. We are making a mermaid shaped journal and this is my first try at Teesha's style. Much more difficult than it looks but so much fun!
