Summer of Color....Week 6 Sage/Sepia

Welcome to Week 6 of Summer of Color! This week's color combo is Sage and Sepia. Love this color combo....but I don't know if I'll have time to make something so am posting some past work in this color theme. Summer of Color Week 5...Red/Yellow

The colors for Week 5 of Summer of Color are Candy Apple Red and Yellow. I made this Cute and Creepy Girl into a 4x4 chunky book page. She's made with copic markers, distress inks, gel pens and lots of cuteness!

Paint Party Friday & SOC...Charcoal Gray and Pale Pink!

Welcome to Week 4 of Summer of Color! This week's color combo is Charcoal Gray and Pale Pink...love love love this color combo!!! I made another canvas from Megan Suarez's Whimsical Girls Workshop just for this week's color combo. This is a 6x6 chunky canvas with collage, acrylic paints, Copic markers, inks, pens and pencil. I love drawing these big eyed whimsical girls!

Happy Paint Party Friday w/Summer of Color....Week 3!

Happy Weekend and Happy PPF, and welcome to Summer of Color Week 3! The colors for this week are Lime Green and Purple...not my favorite color combo but I added in some other colors to make it work for me. I made this cute whimsical girl in the Whimsical Girl Workshop by Megan Suarez. I glued her to a small canvas with a scrapbook paper background, then added acrylic paints and some pens. She still needs a little work on the details. I had alot of fun creating her!

Summer of Color...Week 2!

It's week 2 of Summer of Color and the color combo this week is Orange & Hot Pink! I made this 6x6 affirmation card for a challenge in the TrueFreeSpirit workshop using the colors for this weeks Summer of Color combo, worked out perfectly! I made this from cardboard, with acrylic paints, Dylusion inks, stamps, stencils and pencil. Please visit Summer of Color to see all the art for this week! xo

Summer of Color...Green Citron & Turquoise...Updated!

I am doing the Summer of Color 2013 challenge and Week One is Citron Green and Turquoise! Wowza, what a fun color theme!! I made a quick art journal background using gelli prints, acrylic paints, gesso and colored napkins applied with matte medium.

Updated! I used a face stencil by Jane Davenport and took the journal spread further with more layers of acrylic paints, inks and pens. I will add some writing once it all dries. Love this color combo!
