Paint Party Friday!

Happy Halloween and Happy Paint Party Friday! This week I'm posting two Halloween paintings that I did recently in very different styles. 'Trick or Treat Girl' is a folk art style mixed media painting on a wood panel. Handdrawn and painted with acrylic paints, accented with pencil
And this Vampire Doll is a painting I did in Ady Almanza's Vampire Doll mini workshop. This is done with acrylics and colored pencil on watercolor paper. Ady supplies the template. I've also been busy making more altered PEz and dolls, scroll down the blog if you'd like to see what I've been up to!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I can't believe it's already November!! xo

OOOO....A Pretty Fairy!

A new obsession has happened, it's....TOMBOW MARKERS! Love, love, love these waterbased ink markers! I learned how to use them in the DollDreams Flower Fairy workshop and am in love with the colors. So much fun to use when the weather is so damp and dreary!

Practicing with Alcohol Markers!

For the January Challenge on DollDreams we were to color this page from Ady's Coloring book and use only the cool gray colorset from the Spectrum Noir Cool Gray markers. The Spectrum markers are similar to the Copics but much less expensive. It was a real challenge to color only using the shades of gray but a great lesson on shading and blending. The pic is of my third try...I'm still practicing and am having alot of  fun learning how to use these markers!
