Lots of good stuff happening....

I've been having loads of fun joining new art groups and doing more swaps! I joined a Flickr group today that is a weekly art journaling group....very cool. The artwork is amazing! I haven't crocheted all summer...I think I'm officially obsessed with all things mixed media...LOL I'm actually looking forward to crocheting and weaving once the weather cools off in the Fall. Here's a pic of my latest ATC for the ARTChix group.......

What have I done?....

I joined a yahoo groups yesterday and signed up for a mixed media 'skinny book' challenge....and after I signed up I found out that I have to make 25 pages before Aug 1!! LOL, should have read the fine print on that one before I signed up but I think I'm up for the challenge. The theme is summer which should be easy enough to do!

I thought I hated crocheting bags, purses and totes but that's all I seem to have the patience for right now. Quick and easy for sure. I've officially been crocheting for a year!

I'm looking for a new tarot deck right now that really grabs my attention. Love the Connelly Deck, one of the new ones I got recently but the color are a little bright. Not sure if I like that but love the artwork!

ATC's are fun!

I have been super busy making ATC sets for three swap I have to mail out by Saturday.....need to rethink how many I sign up for at once! All of the sets turned out nice but I have a long way to go before I can say they look great. Rubberstamping is alot harder than it looks and I'm still learning the little details that make a card look pulled together and professional. It's a work in progress! But all in all, I'm proud of each little set that I make.

Then I need to get back to crochet so I can finish up my beach bag!

It's gonna be a great day!

Sun's out, humidity is low, light breeze...perfect weather! Would love to live someplace with weather like this most of the year. Got to ride both Micah and Scout on Monday. Micah was a pisser and Scout was excellent. Looking forward to riding Scout regularly this year. He's a really good horse and I'm happy to have him. Am thinking of selling the Haflingers. They're fun but I don't use them and they're just standing around getting fat and spoiled. Will have to decide on that soon....

Am almost finished the crochet beach bag in the handpainted linen I got at the Md Sheep & Wool Festival! I like the way it's coming along. I'm also almost done with the Fairytale ATC's I'm currently working on. Got my first swap ATC's in the mail yesterday and it's very cool to get other people's artwork!

Monday Morning Blahhhhhhs.....

I have the Monday morning blahs today.....Oh well, just need to keep moving and get some stuff done around here. Got some really cool antique photos this weekend for making ATC's and have been working on my scarf for the Crochetville Summer Scarf swap. Alex finished his senior project and is handing it in today...hoping for the best on that one....keep your fingers crossed that it is excepted!

On the bright side, here's a pic of a rainbow I took this morning in our frontyard!

Happy Wednesday!

Another gorgeous day outside! Alex has his AP English test this morning...hope he does well. He had a great day yesterday. Hope his luck continues! I'm going to work on ATC's and crochet today. Do some gardening, check the horses....and stop watching the news! It's so depressing. Why do they only show the bad stuff when so many good things are happening in the world?
