She Dreams of Time....

"She Dreams of Time Before Forever" is a mixed media painting on matboard. The inspiration for this piece was my nostalgia for the past when life seemed so much simpler, the world alot safer and finding your place just seemed to be so much easier. That the notion of 'forever' always seemed to move forward in time with us but now only appears to be a phantom of times past.

This piece is collage, acrylic paint, gesso, spray inks, stamps, stencils, pens and pencils layered on matboard. The vintage image was embellished and colored with paints, pens and inks.

I am linking to Paint Party Friday and Three Muses Challenge for this week. Please be sure to check these blogs and take look at all the fabulous art. Thanks so much for visiting and have a great weekend everyone! xo

Oh boy I have been thinking about that a lot lately. Everything simple is a thing of the past!! So much complexity.

Your lady reminds me of my mother the eyes, nose and lips...even the same color hair, but a different style!! Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful page and words!

What a serene expression on her face. It really captures that sense of nostalgia we have about the past and the sense of melancholy that we have about the present. Great work. I love the muted palette.
